Geographical Distribution:
- Poliometra prolixa at Fåvne (Gjærløw, 2023)
- Poliometra prolixa at Schulz Bank (Meyer et al., 2023)
- Order Comatulida observed at Ægir Ridge (750-1220m) (Brix et al., 2022)
Substrate: Often on elevated structures like rocks and sponges.

Food Web: Suspension feeders, capture suspended particles from currents near the seafloor with tube feet on their arms (Meyer-Kaiser et al., 2021).

Red List: Heliometra glacialis and Poliometra prolixa are both evaluated to least concern (LC) (the Norwegian Red List 2021).

- According to Meyer-Kaiser et al. (2021) there are 3 species of crinoids in Svalbard/eastern Arctic: Heliometra glacialis (shallow water, <200m), Poliometra prolixa (shallow and deep water, 18-2500m), and Bathycrinus carpenterii (stalked crinoid, deep water, to 3000m).
